The Dodge Charger Daytona, the world’s first electric muscle car, has a feature that every EV should have.
The all-electric Mopar muscle car has been controversial since it launched, understandably dividing opinions.
But it has one very handy feature that helps you remember just how much charge you have left in the car.
It’s a small addition, but one that every other EV should have as it could prove to be incredibly useful.

The Charger Daytona has a handy charge-remaining screen
As reported by other outlets, when you turn the EV off you are presented with a screen on the dashboard.
The screen will indicate how much charge is left in the muscle car.
Not only that, but it will also tell you how long it will take to charge to 100 percent or the charging limit.
Even more helpful is that it tells you roughly how long it’ll take to charge with different plug types.

While that isn’t a ground-breaking feature, it’s certainly one that could come in handy.
It’s a little bit of extra functionality, and one that’s practical and will help us plan our next trips in the car.
The screen will assist you in working out how long you can stay out if you are on errand duty.
Or if you have time to pop into a fast charging location.
EV recharging times are incredibly useful
Perhaps the most useful aspect of the screen is the charging time estimations.
They can help determine if you have time to recharge the car, or if you should wait until you are back home.
The feature is also very handy for newcomers.
It could ensure no surprises when it comes to working out how fast different plugs will charge the muscle car.

While it isn’t going to become a massive innovation to EVs, its a practical tool that certainly has its uses.
Stellantis is clearly aiming to introduce this on more of its vehicles.
The Jeep Wagoneer S, which shares the STLA Large platform with the Dodge, also has this handy feature.
Sometimes, it’s the smaller details that make the biggest differences.
