After landing a Dodge Ram truck in a blind storage unit purchase, this US man’s heart dropped when he first laid eyes on the entire car.
The Dodge Ram is an absolute icon.
Having plowed through off-road America for decades, the range is up there with the best pickup trucks ever created.
But this particular Ram truck was stuck in storage, and when it was finally given a second chance, it shocked its new owner to the core.

Getting a blind storage unit is always quite the risk, especially when you know it’s a car and you can’t examine its condition.
We’ve seen years’ worth of ploys on Storage Wars trick overzealous traders, while some lucky risk takers have landed some fancy prizes.
This time, one man saw a Dodge Ram 1500 hidden inside a unit that he just had to make his own.
But, love’s keen sting hit like a truck – or in this case, hit like a Ram – as the dream car was in an awful state.
Highlighted on a YouTube shorts video, the man revealed that the truck had busted headlights, dents all over the bodywork, missing door panels, and obvious wiring issues.
“When we opened the unit, my heart dropped,” said the new owner.
Despite it being idle for years, the truck did run, but it needed some serious work to transform it back into the beast that it was destined to be.
Still, it is a Dodge Ram, and many people have successfully restored these magnificent cars before.
So why couldn’t he?
Well, after sleepless nights working on the Ram, the car was soon roadworthy again, standing tall in all of its glory.
“The sound was smooth, almost like the Dodge itself was grateful for a second chance,” he said.
Finding American muscle tucked away in the back of storage units is no strange phenomenon.
One duo of lads in Virginia recently copped a Jaguar XJ220 in one of the more random finds yet, and with an impressive detailing job, it was brought back to life in no time.
But this Dodge Ram revitalization is still impressive, and it’s great to see an American hero back on the road.
