Dragonfly, a massive $450M megayacht owned by Google co-founder Sergey Brin, is currently happily sailing in France.
And we bet, just like people in Miami and Ibiza before them, the French have noticed that it’s there.
Hard not to, to be honest, because the yacht is the size of a small town.
And it’s also worth the GDP of a small country.

Most tech companies tend to have one founder or CEO everyone knows about, and various co-founders people forget about.
For example, we associate Tesla with Elon Musk (who once almost sold Tesla to Google) but forget about the founders, or we associate Meta with Mark Zuckerberg, even though Facebook had five founders in total.
It doesn’t really work like that with Google (which, by the way, was originally supposed to be called BackRub), because most people probably couldn’t name the two founders.

Well, one of them was Sergey Brin, a Soviet-born American computer scientist who’s currently worth $134 billion, per Forbes.
Well, the Google co-founder spent a small fraction of that fortune – around $450 million – to buy a megayacht that’s over 140 meters long.
According to Vessel Finder, a website that keeps track of huge yachts, Sergey Brin’s Dragonfly is currently in France after leaving Miami and then Ibiza.
We know this partly because of apps like Vessel Finder that keep track of that, but also because it’s not like you can miss this yacht, just like when Mark Zuckerberg’s own megayacht appeared near Elba, Italy.

Built by Lürssen in Germany, Dragonfly is a 142-meter (466 feet) megayacht with a glass-bottom pool, a gym, a beauty salon, and a bespoke double-folding stern platform.
This yacht is even larger than Jeff Bezos’ Koru.
In addition to all of the above, Dragonfly also features a spa, a private cinema, and a water sports center.
And, of course, a helipad.
