They say that everything is bigger in the state of Texas.

That saying is certainly true when it comes to Tesla – specifically, its headquarters at Giga Texas.

The 2,500-acre facility is home to the production of the Model Y as well as the Cybertruck.

And now, recent drone images suggest that a new party piece might be about to join.

Recent drone footage of Texas factory suggests changes

Giga Texas is renowned for producing some of the most popular EVs in the Tesla range.

Particularly, the Cybertruck and the Model Y currently call Texas home.

However, recent drone footage of the facility suggests a third model is coming.

Joe Tegtmeyer is a long-time viewer of the Giga Texas facility in Austin.

And his recently captured drone footage appears to suggest movement.

Joe’s footage captured several vehicle castings in the grounds of Giga Texas.

The castings look very different to anything used on the Model Y or the Cybertruck.

Naturally, this has led to a lot of speculation that the Cybercab is finally nearing production.

Hang on – what exactly is the Cybercab?

The Tesla Cybercab robotaxi is a topic that has been the subject of much debate.

Back in October 2024, the brand unveiled a concept of the Cybercab.

It was described as a fully autonomous, two-door sedan that could operate itself.

Several other operators already offer Uber-type ride services that are fully automated.

And now, Tesla appears to be gearing up to enter said arena with the Cybercab.

During its Q1 meeting, the marque made one helluva prediction.

That one new Cybercab could be produced every five seconds.

This would amount to around two million new Cybercabs being produced every year.

Whether the American EV marque will be able to hit that target very much remains to be seen.

That being said, Tesla is clearly making progress on its Cybercab robotaxi project.
