Dubai Police has added another car to its exotic fleet, and this time around it’s a Chinese EV capable of floating on water.

And yes, this car is just as cool as it sounds.

This Yangwang U8 is the latest offering to join the fanciest police force in the world, and it’s got 1,197hp to do its duty.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg with this U8.

Does any police force in the world have a cooler fleet of cars that Dubai?

If there was a prize for ‘Coolest Police Fleet’, Dubai’s Police Force would taking it home every single time.

It almost beggars belief that police cars could look this good.

From a Ferrari FF to a Mercedes SLS, there’s no shortage of supercar glitz on display here.

And it just keeps on growing, with new additions coming in every few months or so.

That includes everything from a Mansory-tuned Rolls-Royce Cullinan to an ultra-rare Ferrari Purosangue.

And now the fleet is has an import from China coming into its ranks.

Taking a look at the Yangwang U8 joining the line of duty

At the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2026) at Dubai World Trade Centre, this Yangwang U8 got its big debut.

Brought forth as a collaboration between the Dubai Police Force and Al-Futtaim Automotive Group, the UAE’s exclusive distributor of Yangwang vehicles, this car has lot to offer the police of the desert city.

For a start, it has emergency flotation capability, allowing it remain afloat and move through water in emergencies or flooding.

It can also rotate a perfect 360-degrees without the need to move forwards or backwards.

Boosted by 1,197hp and capable of hitting 60mph in a mere 3.6 seconds, the Yangwang U8 will be right at home in Dubai Police’s illustrious lineup.

The car won’t just serve as a patrol car either – it’ll serve as a point of contact between the police and the public.

The electric car is also a nod to Dubai Police’s committed efforts towards further sustainability.

It’s not just the Dubai Police who have some cool cars in their possession

While other police forces around the world have some catching up to do, don’t be fooled – some of them have made a solid start in the cool cars department.

Japanese cops have been making use of supercars in order to keep up with underground races in the capital.

Over in Las Vegas, Cybertrucks are on the job patrolling the streets of Sin City.

And how could we forget the Sigma Group in Greece? These guys were chasing down street racers back in 1990s with the fastest cars taxpayer money could buy.
