One of these true beauties was recently discovered sitting in a warehouse, covered in dust since 2004.

However, now it was time for the classic beauty to shine once again.

1968 Shelby GT500 Mustang sitting in a garage for years
The complete story of this 1968 Shelby was proudly covered on YouTube by American Mustangs.
Surprisingly, even after years of neglect, the car still ran perfectly, with no major issues found. It was simply covered in dust.
The YouTuber called it a ‘survivor car,’ meaning that the vehicle hadn’t been restored yet. However, the owner was baffled about whether to leave the car as it is – a tribute to its survival – or to give it a complete restoration.
The car’s raven-black color wasn’t the only thing that made it stand out; it also featured a customized taillight panel with a black-and-orange Harley-inspired design.
Talking about the car’s authenticity, the original Shelby hubcaps were still on the car, along with all the VIN tags.
The classic car remains solid and well-preserved
On the inside, the 1968 Shelby GT500 Mustang was as much original, featuring elements like a rollbar, original steering wheel, and an 8,000RPM tachometer with a 140mph speedometer.
The story is reminiscent of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 gathering dust in a warehouse for 15 years.
Built in January 1968, this rare raven-black muscle car remained solid and well-preserved.
With its rarity and pristine condition, it would definitely be an incredible steal for any classic car lover.
