Dwayne Johnson surprised his stunt double with a brand new Ford F-150 pickup truck as a ‘thank you’ for all his hard work and broken bones over the years.
Tanoai Reed has worked as Johnson’s stunt double since 2002, when he worked on The Scorpion King.
As well as working together, the two are cousins and have a solid bond.
So much so that in 2018, Johnson gifted Reed a brand-new custom Ford F-150 pickup.

It’s always nice to feel appreciated by your employee, and some folks are willing to go above and beyond to show their staff how important they are.
Like, the man who was given a 1973 Corvette by his boss after 40 years of dedicated service, or when Alex Hirschi – aka Supercar Blondie – gave a member of her team his dream car.

And in 2018, Dwayne Johnson surprised his stunt double with a new custom Ford F-150 pickup truck.
The touching gesture was shared on Instagram, where Johnson said he ‘loves handing over keys’.
“I love you brother and enjoy your new truck,” he wrote on Instagram.
“Over the course of my career, my stunt double (and cousin) Tanoai Reed @samoanstuntman has broken multiple bones, severed tendons, torn ligaments & just been an overall dominating bad a**, achieving several ‘Stuntman of the Year’ honors.
“All done with one goal in mind – deliver the best movie possible to the world.”
He went on to say he had the custom truck delivered as a complete surprise while Reed was recovering from an injury, and you can see in the clip at the top of this story, it really was a total surprise.
“Not only does Tanoai represent our family and my career with relentless commitment and passion, he also represents an entire Hollywood stunt community that is truly the backbone of our business.

“Love you, uso, and thank you for the blood, sweat, tears, and years. We’re just getting started.
“Enjoy your new truck!”
Johnson ‘loves handing over keys’
Dwayne Johnson isn’t lying when he says he ‘loves handing over keys’.
As well as gifting this beast of a truck to his stuntman in 2018, he once bought his uncle a Ford F-150 to say ‘thank you’ for helping him when he was down on his luck.
He also gave his dad a $60,000 truck to show his appreciation for all he’d done for him.
