The Emir of Qatar’s $500,000,000 yacht is the ultimate floating fortress, and it might be even nicer than the flying palace that he gifted the US.

Earlier this year, the Middle Eastern ruler made headlines when he gifted the US a Boeing 747 plane.

But this wasn’t the only gem in the royal’s breathtaking collection, as the Al Lusail yacht is a real treasure.

This $500m yacht also comes with a support boat, called the Sentinel, which is an impressive vessel in its own right.

The Emir of Qatar’s $500m yacht is the ultimate floating fortress

Earlier this year,  Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani gifted his $400m jet to the US, for it to be used as Air Force One.

Off the back of that gift came a whole heap of headlines, as every aspect of the situation was examined from its luxurious interior to the rest of the royal family’s fleet.

Whilst this was all going on, the Emir of Qatar’s $500m megayacht, the Al Lusail, was lurking in the background.

Named after a city in Qatar, the Al Lusail is 404 feet long and a stunning union of steel and aluminum.

Designed by H2 Yacht Design on the outside and March & White on the inside, it’s a blend of modern luxury and royal opulence.

It’s fit for royalty, as you might expect.

Among its amenities are an indoor cinema, a spa, a gym, and an indoor pool.

It’s certainly spacey too – accommodating up to 36 guests and 56 crew members.

But if you thought that was all impressive enough, it doesn’t end there.

Let’s take a look at the Sentinel, the support yacht that travels with the Al Lusail.

The incredible Sentinel support vessel

When you think of a support vessel, you might think of a less impressive boat essentially playing second fiddle.

But the Sentinel is impressive in its own right.

At 233 feet long, this boat is decked out with a ton of cool features, carrying armored SUVs, ATVs, and submersibles onboard.

And that’s not all, it also has two certified helipads.

There’s even a hospital on the Sentinel, proving how self sufficient and invaluable it is.
