The stunning Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo started as a concept car in a video game before it was eventually created in real life.
As its name suggests, the vehicle was developed for the game Gran Turismo 6 and then featured in Gran Turismo Sport and Gran Turismo 7.
However, Mercedes then decided to turn the virtual car into a real one, and the Vision Gran Turismo was born.
Only five of the cars were ever built, making them as exclusive as they are beautiful.

The Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo had a stunning look
As you might imagine, given that the car was designed and developed to appear in a video game, the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo was a particularly beautiful car.
The car was inspired by previous Mercedes, including the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, as well as the Batmobile and racing models from the 1930s.

The Vision Gran Turismo had an aluminum frame with a carbon fiber body and a removable spoiler.
It featured an extended hood, gullwing doors, and an LED radiator grille with different lighting patterns.
“The Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo embodies the brand’s defining design philosophy of sensual purity in a unique way,” said Dailer AG Vice President of Design Gorden Wagener.
“The design of this concept car reflects to extreme effect the perfect symbiosis between emotional, sensuous contours and intelligently presented high tech.”
The car was so stylish that it made an appearance in the 2017 Justice League movie, where it’s the car of choice for Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne.
What was the car like inside?
The inside was geared towards motor racing and therefore had a fairly stripped-back appearance where every element had a function. Think modern and minimalist.

Inspired by the cockpit of a Formula One racer, the two-seater Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo had red sports seats and a black floor.
Its dashboard was designed with two gullwing doors, which were positioned on each side of the steering column; this made the doors look like part of the instrument panel.
The car’s central display was neatly positioned in the driver’s field of vision and displayed the relevant information, such as speed and operating temperature.
How did the Vision Gran Turismo perform?
The Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo was powered by a 5.5-liter V8 engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that produced 580HP.

A racing series edition was kitted out with a 6.2-liter V8 mated with a sequential transmission, which was slightly more powerful at 591HP.
Mercedes didn’t reveal details on a top speed, but for it’s worth, the game version could top out at more than 310MPH (500KMH).
