This family decided to drop $5,000 from a helicopter at a funeral
Funerals can often take special approaches to honor the loved one who has passed away.
One man in Detroit‘s family decided to pay homage to him and give back to the community in a rather unique act of kindness.

In a special turn of events, the family of Darrell Thomas decided to drop a whopping sum of $5,000 from a helicopter at his funeral.
Darell Thomas was a car wash owner in Detroit and also reportedly a licensed NHRA drag racer, too.
The drop of cash, which was also said to include rose petals, too, was a final give-back at the end of the 58-year-old’s life.
Footage of the special event that reportedly took place in front of the car wash, surfaced online, thanks to knowname_ 3.0, which showed the aircraft hovering in the sky, ready to release the cash, and it was all said to be an act of giving back

The helicopter isn’t the most unusual funeral vehicle we’ve seen
The choice of using a helicopter was rather unique for a funeral, but for auto-enthusiasts, vehicles that take part in funeral events can take on many different forms.
Car lovers often plan to have special final rides to celebrate their lives and legacies.
Sometimes these can be luxurious and come from brands such as Rolls-Royce and Bentley.
Or, they can also come from sources you wouldn’t imagine, for those whose car interests were more futuristic.
Take Alibaba for example, the site which is known for producing cheap dupes of high-end materials, sells EV hearses.
The hearses boast an array of designs, with some even looking like horseless carriages, all for a few thousand dollars.
The decision to drop $5,000 from a helicopter was a loving gesture, you have to admit, and one that people will certainly remember.
