GTA VI rumours are continuing to set the world of social media alight.

Despite being delayed until May 2026, Rockstar Games has released two trailers.

Aside from the excitement of the cars, fans have recently noticed another detail.

And it could be absolutely massive if it turns out to be true.

If you cast your mind all the way back to 2013, you will remember the excitement around GTA V.

It would ultimately become the second-highest-grossing video game of all time.

In the first few missions in Los Santos, Michael De Santa and Franklin Clinton are introduced.

However, they meet each other in an extremely…unconventional way.

Franklin works with friend Lamar Davis for Simeon Yetarian, an extremely shady car dealer.

Franklin is sent to Michael’s house to repossess a car bought by Michael’s son, Jimmy.

After breaking into the car, Franklin drives it to the dealership under the barrel of a gun.

That is because Michael was hiding in the car the whole time – and he demands that Franklin take him to Simeon.

After – literally – smashing the car through the dealership, Franklin eventually gets fired.

It’s at this point that Franklin heads to Michael’s house to seek his mentorship.

The mission “Father/Son” starts with the duo getting into Amanda (Michael’s wife)’s car.

Michael had received a call from Jimmy – who tried to sell Michael’s boat without him knowing – telling him that the boat has been stolen.

At this point, Michael and Franklin chase down the thieves on the Great Ocean Highway.

Despite saving Jimmy, the car gets shot up, leaving the criminals to get away with the boat.

And it is here that today’s story begins – and it could be absolutely huge.

Over the past couple of days, people have been rewatching the trailers over and over again. And not just for all the cars that appear.

And, in the opening scene, we happen to see – of all things – a yacht.

But it isn’t just any yacht – fans have pointed out that it is identical to Michael’s yacht.

A long blue, horizontal stripe on the yacht appears to have been the giveaway clue.

Naturally, this has sent the GTA VI rumor mill into absolute overdrive.

The first question fans are wondering is this: Is it even the same yacht as Michael’s?

If it is, then that opens up a whole host of other questions about the impending game.

Is there a relationship between the universes of Los Santos and Vice City?

And, even more intriguingly – could we see the stars of GTA V make an appearance?

Either way – if you somehow weren’t excited for GTA VI before, you certainly should be now. Shame we’ll have to wait until 2026 to find out if they were right…
