YouTuber trawling eBay kit cars finds a $250,000 one-of-a-kind Ferrari replica made by a devoted builder in their garage

eBay is full of surprises, especially if you’re searching for kit cars. But would you spend $250,000 on a replica Ferrari built in a home garage?

YouTuber Bladed Angel dove into the depths of eBay’s kit car listings and found something extraordinary: a one-of-a-kind creation that’s as much art as it is car.

The replica is apparently inspired by the Ferrari Enzo, the Ferrari LaFerrari, and, interestingly, a Corvette.

Unique Ferrari-inspired kit car on eBay

This iconic supercar replica was handcrafted by Mike Vetter.

And unlike a lot of kit cars, Mike’s creation looks unbelievably like the real thing – unlike this Ferrari Enzo replica that Jay Leno described as ‘really awful’.

This eBay hunt was done by Bladed Angel and luckily for us, he documented the discovery on his YouTube channel.

Now, what made this car stand out?

To start with it had genuine Ferrari Enzo wheels coated in black, a roaring 450-horsepower LS2 engine, and a Porsche G50 transmission, borrowing components from Factory Five GTMs.

The tires were from none other than Pirellis, and its long, low stance made it look remarkable.

However, being a replica, the car had some imperfections – notably the vertical doors looked a lot smaller than they should.

The replica supercar comes at a huge price

Bladed Angel considered the replica Ferrari more of an art piece rather than a mainstream car.

This is why he attached the hefty price tag of $250,000.

“He’s definitely pricing it for art,” he said in the video.

But then there’s another big factor to count – why go for a replica when you can actually buy the real thing for the same price?

In fact, you can easily buy iconic supercars like Lamborghini Huracán or a McLaren 570S for a similar price.
