A car enthusiast spotted a first-generation Dodge Viper with an impressive 206,000 miles on the clock.
The sports car was first launched back in 1991 with a production run that lasted until 2017.
During its 26 years of production, around 32,000 Dodge Vipers were built.
Many of them have been safely stowed in garages and lockups across the US, but this one spotted in a parking lot has clearly had a very different life.

The first-generation Dodge Viper had racked up some serious miles
We come across plenty of examples of super low-mileage performance vehicles, such as this Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 that had just 10 miles on the clock, and this super-cool BMW M1 that had done just 4,000 miles.
So it’s actually quite refreshing to find a well-used and much-loved model such as this one.
Images of the Dodge Viper were shared online by X user Coda_117 who couldn’t quite believe the number on the odometer.

Fellow car lovers were delighted to see that the vehicle had spent so much time on the road and given its owner a lot of joy.
“Heck yes, finally one that’s been enjoyed and not just a garage queen,” wrote one.
“Only a real one actually drives their American-made legend,” someone else chipped in.
While a third offered ‘kudos to the owner’ for ‘properly using and enjoying’ the car.
Despite the years on the clock, it was still in good condition
As you might expect from a car with so many miles under its belt, the Viper was showing some signs of wear and tear, with some scratches on the front bumper and hood and its side exit exhaust appeared to have lost its covering.
The inside was similarly well-loved, with the steering wheel, glove box, and center console all showing signs of wear.

From the photos, it’s unclear whether the vehicle has its original engine, or what state it might be in after racking up more than 200,000 miles.
Nonetheless, the Viper was in pretty solid condition overall, and we’re sure its owner will get many more years – and miles – out of it.
