The first reviews are in for the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD, and it’s looking very good for the $325,000 car.

To say that this car was getting rave reviews would be an understatement.

Everyone has been singing its praises, and it’s easy to see why.

But was it about the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD that has made it such a hit?

The 2025 Ford Mustang GTD has arrived and the reviews are incredible

Everywhere you look online, you’ll see rave reviews about the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD.

James Dennison over at Car Magazine branded it a ‘mega Mustang’ and praised it as ‘bristling with character yet still easy to drive’.

Over at Car and Driver, it was declared to have put ‘the Mustang on another plane’.

And on The Drive, the reviewer concluded: “Ford promised a world-class Mustang capable of a sub-seven-minute Nürburgring lap time, and it delivered just that.”

That’s an awful lot of hype for a car, isn’t it?

So let’s take a closer look at this newest entry to Ford’s line-up and see what all the fuss is about.

The engine in this track beast is a 5.2-liter V8 with a supercharger, which produces 815 horsepower.

The top speed is 202mph (325km/h), and it can reach 60mph in 2.8 seconds.

In late 2024, the Ford Mustang GTD went around the Nürburgring in just 06:57.685, thus becoming the fastest American car around the iconic racetrack in Germany.

It was also the first American car to lap the Ring in under seven seconds.

As if that wasn’t enough, it returned to smash its own record earlier this year.

It even took on the 2020 Shelby Mustang GTD in a head-to-head race.

This Mustang is making quite the splash

As the above reviews demonstrated, this GTD is making quite the impact already.

In fact, even Jay Leno is getting in on the act – turning up to a car meet in his sparkling new Ford Mustang GTD.

Admittedly, he had been gifted it by Ford’s CEO, so why not show it off a bit?

Even parked next to the high-powered Supras, the GTD stood out by a country mile.

Fans crowded the rear glass to gawk at the exposed suspension, which suited Leno just fine.
