This man got creative when thinking of ways to protect his beloved Chevy Corvette from a hurricane in Florida.

To stop his car from getting ruined by the weather, he wrapped it in plastic and set it in a prime position in his garage.

He documented the process online from start to finish, sharing his method with other car fans.

After the hurricane supposedly hit the Sunshine State, he shared the anticipated results, and there was one very clear outcome as a result of his actions.

Adverse weather conditions and cars are not the best combination

It’s no secret that sports cars are expensive, with some prices spreading into the millions.

So, when difficult and dangerous weather conditions appear, things can get tricky.

One Chevy Corvette owner had a clever solution to stop Hurricane Milton, a category 3 storm, from wrecking his expensive car.

Creator gucci_lemon_reloaded shared his mission on social media, explaining that he decided to wrap the car as he was located on the East Coast of the state.

“We’re actually in Palm Beach on the East Coast, so it doesn’t really make sense for us to evacuate,” he explained in the previous update that was shared via his platforms.

So, to minimize the impact that the Corvette received, he decided to take inspiration from a fellow car enthusiast that he saw on Instagram and use plastic to protect the supercar in his garage.

The Chevy Corvette owner was expecting around a maximum of two feet of water, and there was ventilation at the top of the wrap that allowed air to flow through.

But, did it actually work?

The hurricane remedy for the Chevy Corvette had a clear outcome

After sharing his method of car protection, the creator shared the all-important update as to whether or not it worked.

The video showed the Corvette being unwrapped, and it looked squeaky clean.

Mission: Accomplished.

The unaffected car did raise some eyebrows and backlash, but some others were happy with the outcome.

“This actually seemed pretty smart to me. For ANY car. In the garage like that, it’s way better than doing nothing,” said one user.

“Y’know what? I’m glad you didn’t need it! It shows that you take great care of your things! We work really hard for things like this! You truly value the things you worked for in life! Good for you,” said another car fan.

“People who aren’t on the east coast of Florida just don’t understand. I do. I get it. Bravo,” added a third.

So, his unusual idea worked, and maybe also served as a source of inspiration too.
