The TransAmerica Trail has gone global thanks to the Ford Bronco and Google Street View.
The SUV was tasked with capturing elements that drivers don’t get to see, especially for the internet to experience.
From Utah to Colorado and everywhere in between, the journey took more than a month to complete.
But the end result really was picture-perfect, thanks to the vehicle’s ability to explore its surroundings with ease and a whole host of power.

The Ford Bronco set out on the ultimate quest across the US
The TransAmerica Trail is the US’s longest off-road trail, with rugged terrain that goes on for more than 5,900 miles.
So, to bring a whole new perspective to the track, Google Street View and Ford got together to put the trail on the map… quite literally.

The new Street View camera went on a wild ride from Oregon to North Carolina thanks to the Bronco, with some other Ford greats following in its tire tracks.
The 32-day trek was also completed by Lariat, Tremor, Ranger, and Expedition models, which housed the crew and equipment to complete the task.
Aside from capturing the footage, everyone involved really got into the explorer spirit and camped too, while respecting the trail along the way.
But what’s so special about the truck?
As you can imagine, the trail can’t just be undertaken by any old vehicle, and thanks to the Bronco’s unique features, the Google Street View and Ford teams managed just fine.
All in all, the mammoth journey crossed 13 states, and thanks to the vehicle’s 13.1 inches of ground clearance, no terrain was too tricky to tackle.

To get the best imagery possible, the Bronco Badlands was kitted out with the Sasquatch Package along with ’35-inch rugged all-terrain tires’.
The SUVs start at $40,495 and can really handle anything in their path.
In fact, the Bronco has seven drive modes and a maximum towing ability of 4,500lbs.
Plus, if that wasn’t enough, there are even 37 color combinations to choose from.
You can watch the journey above and experience the thrill of the adventure for yourself.
