The CEO of Ford Jim Farley took place in a Mustang Challenge race at Laguna Seca over the weekend.
The Laguna Seca circuit is part of the Mustang Challenge series that takes place throughout the year at various spots in the USA.
This isn’t Farley’s first time behind the wheel of a Ford racer, and that showed in his racing.
This year, he managed to finish in a more than creditable position.

We all know that Ford is a coveted car brand.
From daily drivers to classic muscle cars, the Ford fleet is wide and varied.
Ever the innovators, the company even introduced a nuclear-powered car in 1958, plus it even handed creative control over to Chinese students when it let them design a new Mustang.
When it comes to getting stuck in, Ford is ahead of the game.
CEO Jim Farley is a car enthusiast through and through, he even left Jimmy Fallon a surprise in the back of his F-150.
But this new move may just prove his love for all things auto even more, as he got behind the wheel at the Mustang Challenge at Laguna Seca.
According to Ford: ” Racing enthusiasts who want to experience the thrill of sports car competition should look no further than the Mustang Challenge.”
The event ‘allows drivers up to FIA silver ratings to compete on a level playing field against other Mustang Dark Horse R cars’.

There are many racing events that take place throughout the year, with Laguna Seca being CEO Farley’s race of choice.
He reportedly drove the Mustang Dark Horse R (No.17) and finished in 11th place during Saturday’s (May 10th) race.
Each Mustang Challenge race features ‘two 30-minute practice sessions, one 15-minute qualifying session and two 45-minute sprint races,’ noted Ford.
It is also divided into two classes, consisting of Dark Horse and Dark Horse Legends.
Farley shared the racing highlights on his social media and said: “It’s been an exciting weekend with our customers at Laguna Seca.
“The Mustang Challenge is a great opportunity for racers who want to progress, grow and compete with the very best.
“Now we get the Dark Horse R ready for Le Mans! Seeing a full field of Mustangs going flat out down the Mulsanne will be an incredible sight.”
