Ford’s new 2,100,000-square-foot HQ in Michigan has a James Bond villain’s lair showroom.
The new HQ marks Ford’s first headquarters change in almost 70 years, with its iconic Glass House serving as the company’s base since 1956.
The centerpiece of the new HQ is the James Bond villain-style showroom, allowing Ford to show off some of its finest models from the past and present.
This new HQ for the Blue Oval is one of the most impressive for any automotive manufacturer in the United States.

The James Bond villain’s lair is the building’s centerpiece
The new HQ is twice the size of the old one and was built to accommodate twice as many employees.
Of course, the new showroom is the centerpiece, the crown jewel of the whole building.
Ford Land’s global design and brand director Jennier Jolstad said it feels like a James Bond villain’s lair.

Images do show it has a deep, underground feel to it.
It was also built to be large enough to display all of Ford’s most notable past and present vehicles.
It will also display those soon to be added to the range.
Concept cars will also be placed on show.
But that’s not the only thing that makes this building impressive.
The Ford HQ is its first in many years
The building marks the first new HQ for the American company in seven decades.
The company has made Dearborn, Michigan, its longtime home.
Its old HQ, ‘The Glass House’, opened in 1956, and it is set to be demolished.
Ford expects to complete its move to the new HQ by 2027.

The new building features impressive facilities, including seven restaurants and a food hall.
New spaces also mean design teams can share spaces with the top brass.
In their previous building, the iconic Glass House, they were all separate from each other.
Ford CEO Jim Farley says there are 5,000 mechanic jobs open at the moment, all offering six-figure salaries, so Ford’s certainly not slowing down anytime soon.
