This was the moment that Formula Drift champion James Deane drifted a Mustang through an infamous Monaco hairpin, making it look like the most casual thing in the world.
When this clip made its way to social media, the reaction was unanimously one of awe.
Admittedly, Deane is a seasoned pro at this kind of thing, so we can’t say we’re surprised.
Yet and still, the smoothness of this maneuver deserves to be admired.
James Deane made this Monaco hairpin look like a piece of cake
The Fairmont Hairpin is a fairground for Monaco supercars whipping around it.
After all, if you’re going to go around in a powerful supercar, you might as well push it to the max, right?
The hairpin has played host to plenty of daring car displays, featuring cars like this Lamborghini Aventador or a $142 million Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR.

And this time around was no exception.
James Deane, sitting inside a Ford Mustang Dark Horse, swerved around the hairpin as smooth as butter.
It was a tight corner, but Deane made it look easy.
By way of comparison, the car that came after him almost looked cautious.
‘Put some respect on his name’ – the internet reacts
People on Instagram were impressed with Deane’s conduct and praised him in the comments section.
“So out of control can’t understand how he held that,” one wrote.

“He’s one of the best FD drivers to ever get in a car,” another gushed.
“It was James Deane who is a drift champion. Show some damn respect. Of course he didn’t crash!!” a third viewer wrote.
One comment labelled him a ‘stud in a steel’, as others joked that the ‘track curved to the Mustang’.
He made it look effortless, and we can’t help but admire that.
James Deane is second-to-none when it comes to drifting
Deane got his start in drifting early, first participating at the age of 15 back in 2006.
In the years since, he’s become something of a drifting legend, winning several Irish and European drifter series titles.
It’s no wonder that Ford decided to reward him with a brand new street car.
