Gamers think they’ve found evidence that shows Rockstar is remastering GTA IV, and it was hiding in plain sight.
Grand Theft Auto IV was first released all the way back in 2008, following on from GTA: San Andreas.
Upon its release, GTA IV broke industry records, pulling in a whopping $310 million on its very first day, and $500 million in its first week.
Now, fans think it could be getting a remaster.

Fans think they have evidence that proves Rockstar is remastering GTA IV
With the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI set to be released in under a year, eagle-eyed gamers think there’s proof its creators are quietly working away on something else.
Rumors of remastered GTA IV have been swirling for months, and now fans think they have spotted evidence right there on the Rockstar support page for GTA IV.

A Reddit user spotted that the support page for GTA IV listed the PlayStation 4 as one of the game’s available platforms, pointing out that the PS4 had never been listed on that page before.
“Could be a mistake or an early leak for a PS4 port,” they wrote.
They also noted that Rockstar had ‘accidentally’ left the migration option for Red Dead Redemption 2 just the day before.
In an update, the Redditor said Rockstar had since updated the page and removed any mention of the PS4, the same for the Red Dead Redemption 2 page.
While some fans are convinced this is proof, others are less sure and think it could just be an honest mistake from Rockstar.
Nonetheless, it’s got many gamers excited at the thought.

“I really am praying for a GTA IV remaster,” wrote one.
“It’s one that really does need it.”
“I will pay a lot of money for both GTA IV on PS5 and a current-gen release of RDR2. Make it happen, Rockstar!” another said.
“I pray that this is real,” another added.
It’s not the first time rumors of a remaster have circulated
This recent bit of ‘evidence’ builds on claims made by a reliable GTA leaker known as Tez2 that Rockstar is remastering GTA IV.
Back in May he posted on Reddit to say someone at Rockstar had ‘hinted’ at the IV port, and by now it should’ve gone a year in development.
Like all rumors, take it with a pinch of salt, but it’s interesting to point out that Tez2 has previously accurately shared leaks of remasters for GTA 1, 2, and 3.
