GTA 6 fans have been flying drones and using fake IDs to get into and around Rockstar Games HQ to sneak themselves a first sighting of the game.

The wait for Rockstar’s next blockbuster game has become so intense that some fans are reportedly going to extreme lengths just to catch any unofficial glimpse.

The fandom around Grand Theft Auto has always been eager and willing to do anything to see what the new games have in store, but some of this stuff borders on illegal.

It’s another sign that GTA 6 fever is reaching a completely different level.

Allegedly, Rockstar Games developers have dealt with some wild fan behaviour over the years.

Media reports have claimed that fans have tried everything from flying drones near office windows or attempting to sneak into buildings using fake identification.

The discussion has resurfaced as rumors swirl that Rockstar may delay a physical release of GTA 6 because of leak fears.

Some believe the studio could go digital-only at launch if the game hits its reported November 19, 2026, release date, with physical copies arriving much later in 2027.

The idea is that boxed copies sitting in stores could tempt desperate fans into trying to grab the game early, and based on past stories, it seems Rockstar has reason to be cautious.

Fans will do anything to catch a glimpse

This isn’t the first time fans have tried to get closer than they should, like in one case, fans visiting Rockstar’s Edinburgh office reportedly spotted GTA posters featuring images not yet shared publicly.

But drones and fake IDs take things far beyond harmless curiosity and into a worrying kind of fandom frenzy.

Rockstar is famously secretive, and attempts to breach studio security could bring serious consequences.

The infamous 2022 GTA 6 leak already showed how intense things can get, with the hacker behind it receiving an indefinite hospital order – meaning he cannot leave the facility – after being deemed a high-risk individual.

Years later, the obsession around GTA 6 is only getting louder, and some fans clearly aren’t willing to wait patiently, especially if another delay happens.
