Imagine discovering a 1969 Camaro z/28 sitting in a rural backyard, waiting to be purchased for a bargain price.
Well, that’s exactly what happened to YouTuber Backyard Barn Finds, who paid a visit to a rural property which plays host to a lot of great classic cars.
On the occasion he went, the standout vehicle was the aformentioned 1969 Camaro z/28.
And the price it was going for was a total bargain.

The Camaro is a real treat, in whatever form it appears.
We’ve seen this car reborn as a Toyota Supra, serving on the Nevada highway patrol, and even as an upside-down racecar.
There’s no denying it’s a pretty special car.
So when Backyard Barn Finds found one on a rural Georgia property, he knew his viewers were in for a treat.

The YouTube channel has come across some awesome cars in the past, including this Sheriff’s truck in a collapsed barn.
But even by this lofty standard, the z/28 was something special.
The owner wants to sell it for $20,000, which is a great deal.
“The car comes from just 30 miles down the road,” the owner explained.
“I saw it pop up on [Facebook] Marketplace, it’d been on there for like seven messages.

“The guy messaged me back and told me the whole story.
“The car had been parked in 1994, the engine was making noise, so they pulled it out and found out it was a lifter.
“I think a cam lobe had worn off. The car went into a building behind his friend’s house and that’s pretty much where it [has] sat since 1994.”
He’d intended to redo the z/28, but other priorities took precedence.

Considering that this car had spent a huge chunk of its life stowed away in a barn, it looked pretty good.
There was a little bit of rust, and it was not where it would ideally be, looks-wise.
But still, it had held up reasonably well.
Hopefully, somebody takes the opportunity and buys the car to give it a new lease of life.
