This guy bought a super cheap Porsche Cayenne Turbo for just $600.
It’s a great car, and sounds like a great deal at that price.
But it wasn’t.
And this guy had to find out why the hard way.

The reason why this Porsche Cayenne was so cheap
The guy behind the Not Economically Viable (the irony) YouTube channel bought a Porsche Cayenne Turbo for £450 – or $600.
On paper, it’s a great deal.
You’ve got a Porsche SUV with a 4.5-liter V8 and 444 horsepower with 175,000 miles on the clock, which is a lot, for sure, but still nothing crazy.
However, the owner found out the hard why it was so cheap.

There are several problems, and we don’t even know where to start.
The car was filthy, with moss growing in it, the hood catch was broken, and the door locks were also not working.
The engine didn’t work properly either, mostly because the cylinders were ruined, and the air suspension was damaged.
The problem with used luxury cars
This cheap Porsche Cayenne Turbo is fixable – nearly everything is – but it’ll probably cost a fortune.
This is the main issue with used luxury cars.
There’s no point spending $600 on a used car if you then need to spend five figures to fix it.
We don’t know whether that’s going to be the case here, but it often is.

When it comes to parts, services, and so on, you’re often also paying for the brand.
Translated, new or used, Porsche components will still cost Porsche money.
There’s a similar problem with Range Rovers, especially older ones like the L322 Range Rover, because they are famously unreliable.
This is why they sometimes end up being scrapped in large graveyards or old barns, and it’s also the reason you can sometimes find examples in good condition for a few hundred dollars.
