This incredible human drone, called Hexa, is made entirely from carbon fiber and is capable of landing on both land and water.
The electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft is designed to carry just one passenger.
It’s powered by eighteen independent electric motors and propellers and is controlled via a simple joystick.
Its creators, Lift Aircraft, say anyone can fly Hexa with no pilot’s license required.

The Hexa human drone can be flown ‘by anyone’
Over the last few years, we’ve seen huge developments when it comes to eVTOLs from the likes of Joby, which says its futuristic S4 model is close to launching, and XPeng, which has received thousands of orders for its flying car.
Meanwhile, Austin-based Lift Aircraft has created Hexa – and it’s unlike any other eVTOL we’ve seen for a few reasons.

The personal aircraft resembles a human drone and has a superlight frame made of carbon fiber, meaning it weighs just 432 pounds.
Hexa can travel at up to 70mph (117km/h) and can fly for between 10 and 17 minutes.
It’s also amphibious and can safely land on both land and water.
It has four perimeter floats that provide buoyancy and stability, alongside a fifth, center float that is filled with an energy-absorbing foam for added buoyancy and hard landing protection.
To steer the human drone, there’s a joystick, or you can use the onboard touchscreen.
Hexa is compliant with the FAA’s Powered Ultralight classification, which means you don’t need a pilot’s license to fly.
The company says it provides training that takes only one hour to do.
You can book a flight on Hexa
As you might imagine, Hexa doesn’t come cheap – the human drone has a price tag of $500,000.

But if that’s a little out of your budget, you might be pleased to learn that Life Aircraft offers the chance to book a flight.
You can take to the skies in Austin, Texas, for around $250.
Supercar Blondie’s Sergi Galiano gave it a go a couple of years back, and you can see how it went in the clip above.
