The Stelato S9T, made by Huawei and BAIC, has received 20,000 orders in just 24 hours after it went on presale in China.
Stelato is a joint project between Huawei and BAIC, and it launched its first vehicle, the S9, last year.
The company has since introduced its second model: the Stelato S9T station wagon.
The car went on presale this week, and orders began flying in.

There are some exciting cars being built in China at the moment, like the XPeng P7 that pulled in 10,000 orders in just six-and-a-half minutes, and Huawei’s Aito M8 EV that has attracted major interest from customers.
Last year, Huawei joined forces with BAIC to create Stelato and released the S9 EV.

The S9 sold a little over 15,000 units between October last year and July this year.
Now, the marque has opened up presales on its upcoming S9T model, and orders have flooded in.
The brand said the S9T had 10,000 orders in just one hour, and Huawei has now confirmed that within 24 hours of opening the presales in China, it received 20,000 orders.
Hugely impressive numbers.
Customers who want to order the vehicle must place a deposit of around $280.
Sales are set to officially kick off in September and will help to give a more accurate forecast of the demand for the Stelato S9T.
The S9T will offer impressive range
The Stelato S9T will be available with four trims, priced from around $46,570 to around $54,020.
The entry-level S9T EV is powered by a single electric motor in the rear axle, which produces up to 304 horsepower, while the more powerful all-wheel drive produces 516 horsepower.

The comapany says the RWD can offer almost 500 miles (801km) of range per charge, hopefully going some way to alleviating range anxiety.
Inside, the S9T has a trio of screens, including a 16.1-inch main display and a 12.3-inch screen placed in front of the front passenger.
There’s also a 25-speaker Huawei sound system and even a built-in mini-refrigerator.
