This California man painted his Hummer with the blackest paint in the world, and it basically disappeared.

YouTuber Marko wanted to try out something new with his Hummer, so got ahold of some Musou Black paint and got to work.

This color absorbs about 99.4 percent of visible light, leaving the car looking like a flat shadow or a silhouette.

The end result will have you rubbing your eyes in disbelief.

What happened when this YouTuber put the blackest paint in the world on his Hummer

YouTuber Marko said he loved painting and was always up for trying new things.

What would fit the bill better than decking his Hummer out in a brand-new color?

And not just any color – but Musou Black, the darkest paint in the world.

You may have seen this color somewhere before.

Cars that get painted this color have a habit of going viral online, as people can’t quite get over how dark they look.

This Porsche 911 Turbo in Japan certainly got people’s heads turning as it rolled out of an auto shop.

And then there was the man who previously used Musou Black Fabric Kiwami to make his Nissan Sedan the ‘blackest car ever’.

It might strike some people as odd to make your car as dark as humanly possible.

But just look at how cool this car looked.

There’s something aesthetically pleasing about a paint that makes 4D objects look as though they’re flat.

Marko got to enjoy that for himself when he gave his Hummer a Musou Black makeover.

What did this jeep look like once it was done?

The Hummer got decked out in both an airbrush and a larger spray gun over several hours with multiple coats.

Once the paint dried, the effect really started to set in.

And when it was time to take it outside, it really became apparent how dark this car was.

Contrasted against the white walls of the garage, it looked like a shadowy figure passing through the world.

There’s something otherworldly about it, but it’s also really cool at the same time.

To see it for yourself, head over to Marko’s YouTube channel.
