This wife wasn’t all that convinced when her husband first said that he was buying a Lincoln for $1,000.

He found the car – a Lincoln Town Car, thanks to a co-worker.

It was an absolute steal at a price of just $1k.

But was her husband’s frugal eye on point this time?

Everybody loves a bargain and saving a few bucks where possible – especially when it comes to cars.

Take this guy for example, he bought a Tesla for 50% off, fixed it up and doubled its value – not bad at all really.

In fact, these guys ventured into boating on Facebook Marketplace too, snapping up a speedboat for just $250.

But, just because it’s cheap doesn’t mean it’s in full working order or durable – like this Dodge Charger that seriously backfired.

All that being said – sometimes a savvy snap up turns out to be a super steal.

A Lincoln from a co-worker turns into the purchase of the century

This woman, @kayycookie6, revealed to TikTok that her husband had found a bargain at work – a $1,000 2005 Lincoln Town car.

The Town Car is raved about by motorists – with the vehicle being hailed as reliable and a ‘joy to drive’ by drivers online, so it’s no wonder that her husband was excited about the purchase.

The silver Town Car was getting on for 20 years old, but with age comes experience, and these guys were about to find out if the purchase would pay off.

As kayycookie6 said in the video: “My husband cannot say no to anything.”

He said to her: “A guy from work is selling this car…. Do you care if I get it?”

She then detailed how her husband explained that it was a good deal with low miles and would fit their whole family in, too.

However, she candidly confessed “I don’t know anything about cars.”

And although it needed a bit of fixing up, her husband was overjoyed at his latest buy.

As the saying goes though, ‘happy wife, happy life’.

So up next, it was her chance to see the purchase and decide if she would in fact be a happy wife.

Her reaction says it all

Upon seeing the car, she exclaimed, “I love it!” and went out for a spin, proving her husband’s eye for a bargain really did pay off.

But the question that’s on our lips – would you trust a co-worker to sell you a cheap auto?

Or is that a line you’re just not willing to cross?
