This Toyota Supra spent over 20 years ‘living’ on the roof of a dealership in Malaysia.
The Toyota was located on top of Mutiara Motors, a prominent car dealer in Larkon, Johor, Malaysia.
After more than decades, this particular Mark IV Supra has finally made its way back onto the ground.
And when it made it down, people finally got to see what sort of state it was in.

The power of marketing
This is a well-known marketing tool, even though not that many dealerships use it.
The idea is to park a car literally on top of the building, and hopefully that’ll help people find your dealership.
You’re sacrificing one car in exchange for 10 or 20 years of free marketing.

It was the dealership itself that shared the video of the iconic sports car being brought back down to the ground after acting like a giant billboard for two decades.
Unfortunately, a closer inspection revealed the damage.
This Supra isn’t looking too good
As you can see from the video and the pictures, it’s clear the sun took its toll on the Toyota over the years.
The paintwork is ruined, and we’re sure the rest of the car won’t be in good condition, either.
So many of the internal components will have to be replaced.
But there may be some hope after all.
What the future holds for the Japanese icon
When they finally removed the car from the rooftop in Malaysia, the dealership said that this was ‘not your end; it’s your beginning’.
We’re not sure what they man, but presumably the idea is to restore the car.
It won’t be impossible, but it will be expensive.
