Owning a Ferrari hypercar has to be a truly incredible, one-of-a-kind feeling.
It comes with a certain prestige that is impossible to match with anything else.
One such hypercar owner owns a 2014 LaFerrari – and it would have cost nearly $200,000 to fix it.
So the owner had a genius solution – and completely outsmarted the Italian marque in the process.

Hypercar owner gets a head-spinning quote for repair
This hypercar owner recently got the shock of his life – and not for the reason that you think.
It wasn’t because of his hypercar’s performance or an insane quarter-mile time.
Instead, it was because of a quote to get his vehicle repaired – and the bill was absolutely eye-watering.
The hypercar in question is a 2014 LaFerrari, and the component that needed replacing is the battery pack.
The LaFerrari was the marque’s first-ever production hybrid car – but that comes with its problems.

Of course, a hybrid system is far more complicated to fix than a traditional, ICE-powered engine.
And, after driving just 895 miles in his 2014 LaFerrari, the hypercar owner got an enormous shock.
After the battery died, the owner in question got a quote from the auto maker itself.
And the hypercar owner was given a repair quote of (drumroll)….$195,000.
Yes, you just read that right – this LaFerrari owner was quoted $195,000 to repair the battery pack.
Owner takes his LaFerrari to Croatian experts
Instead of accepting this eye-watering, stomach-churning quote, the owner decided to do something different.
And it was his different choice of approach that could potentially revolutionize the way owners treat their cars.
The owner took his LaFerrari to the Croatian EV Clinic, based in Zagreb.
There, expert technicians were able to fix the existing battery pack.
And the best part of it all was that the Croatian EV Clinic did it for a fraction of the quoted cost.

So, how was the Croatian company able to do such a complex job for such a better deal?
It all comes down to a very individual, innovative approach from the technicians.
The approach involved examining the battery pack and diagnosing the specific, failed battery cells.
Following that, only the failed cells were replaced, as opposed to the Italian marque’s approach of replacing the entire system.
Could this change the way the hypercar owner repairs their cars?
