Tennessee man creates 'iPhone Duo of cars' where the whole gang can ride shotgun

Tyler Fever already turned heads by taking a Ford Festiva and transforming it into one of the thinnest street-legal cars ever seen; now he’s created what’s been described as the ‘iPhone Duo of cars’.
Now the Tennessee creator behind YouTube channel Prop Department has gone in the completely opposite direction with his latest bizarre creation.
The new car is so wide that it looks like two ordinary cars have been merged into one.
And, naturally, the internet has already decided it looks like the automotive equivalent of an iPhone Duo.
The world’s thinnest car has gone in the opposite direction
If you missed Fever’s previous creation, the original project involved a 1988 Ford Festiva being stripped down and sliced through the middle before being rebuilt into a ridiculously narrow street-legal vehicle
The result was roughly half the width of the original car and powered by a compact electric motor after the factory engine no longer fitted.
Fever even managed to get the bizarre machine onto public roads around Nashville, Tennessee.
This time, though, there is absolutely going to be some concerns about squeezing into a tight parking space.

The new creation looks dramatically wider, with the body stretching across what appears to be almost two cars’ worth of cabin space.
From the front, the orange machine looks like someone took the world’s skinniest car and simply pressed the undo button.
It also creates a hilarious new problem: instead of wondering whether you can fit inside, the obvious question is how many people you can fit across the front.

The comments have already embraced the ridiculous proportions.
One TikTok user described it as ‘The new iPhone duo’, while another compared the whole thing to the kind of bizarre contraption you might discover while scrolling Facebook Marketplace, writing: “Type s**t marketplace has when [you’re] looking for an air fryer.”
But perhaps the best reaction came from someone who simply declared: “I’m riding shotgun!!… we all are, bro.”
And honestly, that might be the perfect description.

The car appears to have enough width up front for the traditional passenger seat to become more of a passenger row, turning the phrase ‘riding shotgun’ into something of a group activity.
It is also a suitably chaotic follow-up from Fever, who has already demonstrated that conventional car proportions are apparently just a suggestion.
His previous Festiva build involved lasers, extensive fabrication, an electric motor and a steering wheel that had to be modified because there simply wasn’t enough room for everything inside.

Now, instead of asking how thin a street-legal car can become, he appears to be asking the much more entertaining question: how wide can one get?
And judging by the reactions, the answer might be wide enough for the whole gang.
