Jeremy Clarkson once gave Lexus the best advert they could have hoped for while driving the LFA supercar for an American road trip on Top Gear.
This happened when Clarkson was driving a Lexus LFA for a road trip alongside co-stars Richard Hammond and James May.
The trio was heading to the Willow Springs Raceway racetrack, and Clarkson needed to enter it into his GPS navigation system.
Rather than prompting him to input the destination himself, the Lexus supercar had a trick up its sleeve.

The Lexus trick left Jeremy Clarkson shocked
Clarkson accessed the navigation system of the LFA to enter Willow Springs into the satellite navigation system.
However, rather than having to put it in, the supercar started to call someone.
It rang what was called Lexus Enform, now called Destination Assist.
The call connected him to an operative who asked where he wanted to go.
Clarkson then told her it was Willow Springs Raceway, and the operator (a real person, by the way) downloaded the route into the car.

The Top Gear presenter was astounded, realizing it could all be done remotely.
It meant he could avoid various menus and having to type the destination into the computer while driving.
Unsurprisingly, he was amazed at this feature, which was available 24/7 for drivers.

What did Clarkson think of the Lexus LFA?
Jeremy Clarkson never hid his love for the Lexus LFA while presenting the BBC TV show.
When you delve into the specs of the car, it is easy to see why.
Introduced in 2010, the LFA had a 4.8-liter 1LR-GUE V10 engine under the hood.
Built by Toyota in collaboration with Yamaha, the engine pumped out 553hp and 350lb-ft of torque.
With a top speed of 202mph the LFA was seriously rapid.
It was only in production for two years, but the supercar really left its mark.

The Lexus won various awards, including Top Gear’s ‘5 Greatest Supercars of the Year’.
Lexus recently presented the LFA Sport Concept, an electrified successor to the original.
But many will probably hope that if it does return, there will still be a V10 engine under the hood of the supercar.
