This man came up with the greatest use of free will ever and decided to fly around in a jet suit like he’d come straight out of a sci-fi movie.
Gravity Industries has built a working jet suit that looks like you could be in real-life Iron Man – the jet pack even comes with training, so you will be saving the world in no time.
The jet suit works by using seven miniature jet turbines strapped to your body, which generate a whole lot of thrust, getting a fully-grown human man in the air.
If you are particularly good at skiing or surfing, you’ll probably be really good at flying around like Iron Man, because the arm-mounted turbines are controlled with arm movements similar to those sports.

Flying around in a jet suit like it’s straight out of a sci-fi movie
We all love a snazzy bit of tech, and this very expensive jet suit is the perfect Christmas present for the Marvel Comics fan in your life…if you’ve got $440,000 lying about.
Gravity Industries has essentially brought a sci-fi concept to life with this impressive-looking jet suit, which can make you feel weightless while you fly around saving the world.
Using seven Jet Cat turbines – three on the back and two on each arm – the jet suit generates around 1,750 newtons of thrust.
Although it’s completely weightless in the air, it weighs about 35kg on the ground, as well as the weight of ten liters of fuel.

This man got the chance to be an IRL superhero
On the futuristic jet suit, the back engines provide the lift while the arm-mounted turbines control balance and direction.
It’s kind of like air skiing or surfing, because small arm movements are how you get where you need to go.
Gravity provides training for the jet suit, and while some people pick up how to fly in it really quickly, it takes others a bit of time to get the hang of it.
Despite it being deafening and incredibly powerful, the whole suit packs down into a suitcase-sized case, making it handy to carry with you when you’re traveling around saving the planet.
