John Travolta is perhaps best known for his iconic role in Grease, cruising around in muscle cars, but it turns out that he actually has a knack for something completely different.
On his 72nd birthday, the actor revealed that he gained a new pilot’s license for an impressive business jet, proving he’s not just a pretty face.
Having previously been spotted in many different kinds of planes, with talk of a runway existing at his home, too.
But, what better way to see in another year of life than getting a brand new license to fly?

We’re all used to seeing John Travolta go mad for muscle and sing about Greased Lightnin’, but it seems he prefers a quicker mode of transport these days.
We’re talking private jets, and according to previous reports, Travolta seems to have a few pilot’s licenses that he can play with.
In fact, reportedly, since the age of 22, he has been the proud owner of a pilot’s license.
Among the jets he can fly, Boeing seems to be a firm favorite, with Travolta able to fly a 747, 707, and 737.

In fact, on the very day of his 72nd birthday, the star himself has revealed that he’s taken his love of planes to a whole new level and gained a brand new pilot’s license.
This time, the license was earned on a Global Express business jet, a long-range airplane favored by many of the world’s rich and famous.
“It’s my birthday today! And I’m very proud to say I got my license in the Global Express.
“Thank you for all my birthday wishes,” he said as he shared a video, which you can watch at the top of the page.
Of course, after hearing the news, fans couldn’t help but react as he showed off his new plane and wished himself well.
“Congratulations. Have an easy takeoff and a soft landing,” said one fan.
“Just flew on the 7500, love the bombardiers. Happy birthday, John, wishing you many exciting new adventures,” commented another.
“Awesome! Congratulations on another major accomplishment. Thank you for sharing your journey in flight,” added a third.
