This Kansas man went on a treasure hunt while searching through abandoned junkyard cars, and he uncovered cash, iPhones, and much more.
Silas, the host of YouTube channel Adventures Made From Scratch, was taking on a long-awaited treasure hunt.
This site had between 13 and 14 cars on the lot, alongside two motorcycles.
He was going to examine every nook and cranny of these vehicles to see what hidden gems he could uncover.

What did this Kansas man find during his treasure hunt among abandoned junkyard cars?
The first car Silas looked through was a Saturn, which he broke the window of to unlock.
There wasn’t all that much in here that would be valuable – a pair of sunglasses, a pen, wire hangers, a license plate, and a lizard trinket.
Yes, a lizard trinket – that’s really the only way to describe that thing.
Not too much in this first car, but as the saying goes ‘One man’s trash is another man’s treasure’.
The second car was a Nissan and this produced a lot more in the way of ‘treasure’.

Two iPhones were discovered, alongside several dollars worth of coins, and a singular AirPod.
A Cadillac had around $3 in cash and $25 in change sitting inside of it, which sounds like a decent pay-day insofar as looking through abandoned cars is concerned.
The Cadillac also had some audio gear in the back that Silas planned to give to a friend who was into that stuff.

The bags that came with the motorcycles were mostly empty, but he did find some prescription glasses, a pair of underwear, and a single earbud.
What’s with all these singular earpieces?
Most vehicles didn’t cough up much beyond coins, although one Hyundai did have a ring inside of it.
How much had he acquired by the end of his hunt?
By the end of the day, Silas had racked up around $45 in coins, $4 in cash, and $25 on a Panda Express gift card.
That sounds like a win to us.
That’s in addition to the two iPhones from the Nissan and a whole host of antifreeze (From a Ford Crown Victoria), jump cable (Ford Crown Victoria), and manuals (In a Nissan and a Hyundai).
He’d accumulated quite the nice little haul.

It’s always great when unexpected things turn up in junkyards.
A lot of the cars that have wound up here are unwanted or considered lost causes, so it’s nice to think they can still make people happy in small ways.
One man was exceptionally excited by what he found in a junkyard and practically committed to buying it on the spot.
For one Texas YouTuber, he didn’t even have to see a junkyard car to know he wanted to buy it.
