Katy Perry once bought a top of the range electric sports car for each of her assistants.

The Woman’s World singer has a busy schedule and her assistants undoubtedly work very hard.

That was all the more reason for each of them to be treated to a EV.

All in all, she spent $412,263 on the mini-fleet – a small dent in the fortune of this California Gurl.

Katy Perry treats her assistants to an electric sports car

Katy Perry is busy creating music and touring, and her assistants no doubt help keep her on top of her schedule.

So it’s only fair that they get something in return, right?

How does five Fisker Karmas sound?

On top of the hefty salaries they’re already paid no doubt.

Back in 2014, Perry bought these electric 4-door sedans for her hard working assistants.

True to Perry’s West Coast roots, these cars were engineered in Los Angeles by a team headed up by former Aston Martin design chief Henrik Fisker.

According to a friend of Perry’s, this purchase was an ethical choice for the singer.

Speaking to The Daily Star, they said: “They are completely electric and top of the range in car luxury but she hates the smog in the air in LA.

“In total she spent over half a million dollars on the cars and now her conscience is clean.”

This was quite a change of tune for Perry, who previously dissed electric cars on her 2008 album One Of The Boys.

On one track, she sang: “You don’t eat meat and drive electrical cars, you’re so indie rock it’s almost an art.”

In case you couldn’t tell, she intended the above to be a teasing remark.

In the years since, Perry has added quite a few cars to her collection – including some more EVs.

Some of the cars linked to the songstress include an Audi S7, a 2011 Ferrari GTB Fiorano, and yes, even a Tesla Cybertruck.

Celebrities have a history of being generous with cars

Perry isn’t the only celebrity to have shown her gratitude through cars.

Steve Jobs gave his secretary a brand new Jaguar after she made an honest admission to him.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is a serial car gift giver, having bestowed trucks on both his uncle and his dad.

As the saying goes ‘It’s not what you know, it’s who you know’.

And if you happen to know Katy Perry, that could end with you getting an electric sports car.
