A new $410,000 Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II luxury SUV owned by King Charles III has made its debut after being gifted to the British Royal Family by the King of Bahrain.
The monarchy of the United Kingdom is not unfamiliar with luxury cars – the late Queen Elizabeth II had her own superb private fleet of vehicles to use.
Many of these have passed on to the King, but he’s had a new car delivered as a Coronation gift from the King of Bahrain.
This Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II is worth over $400,000, and it’s been seen on the Mall in London with an interesting license plate.

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II was spotted on the Mall
The King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa, gifted King Charles III the luxurious SUV.
It was sighted in January 2026 on the Mall, making its public debut, as it followed the Royal Carriages.
The Rolls-Royce was being used as a backup to the carriages, as it transported an ambassador to meet the King.
King Charles III was meeting the ambassador at St. James’s Palace.
This car will only be used on official occasions, and not for personal use by the Royal Family.

After some modifications, it is now an official state car and may well be used during state visits and other Royal events.
Something interesting that many spotted was the license plate on the luxury SUV.

A nod and a tribute to the late Queen Mother
The license plate read simply: NL2.
This is a direct nod to the late Queen Mother, who died in March 2002, aged 101, and used this license plate on her Daimler DE 36.
This is not to be confused with the German Daimler-Benz, however.
Daimler used to be a British luxury car manufacturer.
It produced vehicles from 1896 before going dormant in 2010.
Meanwhile, the Cullinan Series II is a luxury SUV produced by Rolls-Royce.
So it’s a natural vehicle of choice for the British Royal Family.
Under the hood is a large 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine, making 563hp and 627lb-ft of torque.
So that’s plenty of power for anyone to handle.
But we don’t think the King will feel the need to use that power on official Royal occasions!
