This seemingly abandoned Lamborghini Aventador was spotted while a YouTube channel toured the collection of famed actor Mickey Rourke, but it turns out the mystery supercar is more than it seemed.

Known for roles in The Wrestler, Iron Man 2, and, most recently, the UK television show Big Brother, Mickey Rourke is a renowned car lover.

But the celebrity has one car that has left LA locals scratching their heads.

Inside a $1 million supercar collection is a Lamborghini Aventador that hides a secret under its hood.

Exploring $1M worth of supercars owned by Mickey Rourke

In typical Hollywood fashion, Rourke has put his actor earnings to good use, buying a range of vehicles and a stellar piece of property in Los Angeles

Parked on the drive of this Los Angeles mansion is a range of supercars, and a recent upload on YouTube toured around the outskirts of the property.

Uploaded by Harrison Nevel, the cars appeared to be ‘abandoned’, covered in layers of dust and rust, clearly untouched for years.

But underneath the rubble were some great vehicles, such as a forest green Dodge Charger R/T, one of the best American muscle cars ever made.

The Charger was in dire straits, with popped tires and a missing window.

Elsewhere, a Bentley Mulsanne, a Rolls-Royce Wraith, a Ferrari F430 Spider, and a mystery supercar were all spotted in similarly tatty conditions.

The latter of the collection has piqued interest in LA, though, as it appears to be a Lamborghini Aventador like no other.

This Lamborghini Aventador is no normal supercar

Under its cover, this white Lamborghini Aventador has been sitting patiently for years, leaving LA locals disappointed as such a supercar shouldn’t be shackled.

However, it’s not actually an Aventador at all.

It’s a kit car.

After digging into the VIN number the vehicle appeared not to be registered as a Lambo, but rather a custom-built car.

It made for a convincing dupe, though, and must have been done by an experienced hand to make sure the details matched those of the real deal.

Many people have successfully built custom cars like this supposed Lamborghini Aventador in recent years, even taking advantage of sites like Temu to get cheaper 3D printed bodywork panels.
