It’s amazing the lengths people will go to to stand out from the crowd.

A man in Japan dropped $2 million on a new Lamborghini Aventador.

As if that wasn’t enough, he then forked out a further $1.35 million covering the supercar in 1,350,000 Swarovski crystals.

Shinichi Morohoshi is known for his spectacular customizations, but this Lamborghini Aventador is by far his wildest.

The supercar – which has a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph) – couldn’t be any further from your average Lambo.

After making the purchase, the Tokyo-based king of custom Lamborghinis modified the car by fitting a Fighting Star body kit.

It’s an aggressive looking kit, that’s all one line, from the wing to the fin.

He also fitted a set of Lexani wheels, and a muffler and LED lights that are also custom.

That wasn’t all, though, as Morohoshi-san’s team then spent nine painstaking months hand glueing 1,350,000 Swarovski crystals to the supercar’s bodywork.

From the body to the roof, spoiler to the diffuser, every inch of the car is covered in them.

The wealthy businessman has built an impressive collection of Lambo models over the years.

His garage includes a Diablo Super Veloce, Murciélago Roadster, Murciélago Coupe, and an Aventador Anniversario.

And, just like his latest acquisition, they’ve all been extravagantly modified with body kits and, of course, Swarovski crystals.

He’s even been known to take his supercars overseas to places like Italy, where crowds cheer and gesture for him to press the horn.

Admittingly, his customisation work isn’t to everyone’s taste – especially Lamborghini enthusiasts.

But the truth is, anyone can buy a supercar, and it says precisely nothing about them.

A dazzling collection of Lambos tells you everything you need to know about Morohoshi – and how little he cares what people think.
