Lamborghini has said that the Fenomeno’s 823 hp V12 still has room to grow.
There’s been a lot of hype around Lamborghini’s fastest and most powerful cars.
Much of said hype has centered around the 6.5-liter powering this beast.
But according to Lamborghini Chief Technical Officer Rouven Mohr, there’s still room for it to grow.

The Fenomeno’s 823 hp V12 still has room to grow
Speaking to The Drive at Monterey Car Week, Mohr reveals that the 823 hp cap was deliberate.
“For our brand and positioning, we still believe we’ll have internal combustion late in the next decade,” Mohr said.
“We are working continuously in improving also the power output of the combustion [engine].
“The fact that we only chose to go up by [nine hp] was a question of portfolio choice. This does not mean that this is the limit of our V12.”

When asked where the extra nine would come from, he said it would be down to ‘selection of parts, minimizing tolerances, minimizing the friction’.
“So it’s a fine-tuning. It’s not a new habit,” Mohr said.
“It’s not changing the compression ratio or something like this. This we could do, but then the effort is for sure increasing.”
But there’s no saying that this is even the upper limit.
Mohr estimated that each electric motor within the car produced 147 hp – and that’s without modification.
The sky may well be the limit with this new Lambo.

The Lamborghini Fenomeno is getting a lot of people excited
There’s been a lot of talk about the Fenomeno in recent weeks, with Travis Scott getting to sit inside one before almost anyone else.
This plug-in hybrid got its big debut at The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering during Monterey Car Week.
With headlines gushing about how this would be the manufacturer’s ‘most powerful car ever’ , it’s easy to see why people have gotten excited.
As much as it’s been talked about, only when the car is out on the streets will we get to see it in its full glory.
And we can’t wait to see what comes next.
Is it any wonder that Fenomeno is Spanish for ‘phenomenon’?
That says all you need to know.
