When this Lamborghini Huracán Spyder rolled into a mechanic’s garage, it gave him the opportunity to showcase what happens when it’s not taken care of.
The Huracán is a sports car to be treasured and cared for.
But if it’s not kept up to scratch, things can go haywire very quickly.
YouTube channel REPerformance UK took a closer look at the car to see what needed addressing.

What was wrong with this Lamborghini Huracán?
The team at REPerfromance UK is no stranger to the greatness of Lamborghinis – just look at what they made of the Gallardo Superleggera.
There wouldn’t be any cause for celebration this time around, however.
The primary concern with this car was in its 5.2-liter V10 engine, but that wasn’t all – the gearbox wasn’t exactly running like a top either.
But the engine was the first priority, as gearbox testing would require a stable engine.
The engine was misfiring due to faulty fuel injectors, which had likely been corroded by water ingress.

Poor workmanship from previous tune-ups was evident throughout, including missing clips and screws.
There was also substantial water damage, likely caused by water entering through the rear window trim – a common issue for Huracán Spyders.
Removing the injectors was extremely difficult due to the corrosion around the injector stem and combustion seal area.

One even needed grips and a slide hammer to come loose, and its top connector fell apart.
This was not an engine in a good state.
The team bench-tested replacement injectors on an injector test machine to compare the flow consistency.

They reassembled the engine and started the engine – thankfully, it ran cleanly with no misfires.
“Purring like a kitten! Or a bull,” the engineer remarked.
Cars need a lot of TLC – even Lamborghinis
While many cars will give off the air of being powerful, that doesn’t mean their needs should be disregarded.
You need only look at the state of this Lamborghini Huracán from Mat Armstrong to see that.
But there’s nothing quite like the feeling of fixing a supercar riddled with problems.
This man knew that feeling better than anyone when he was given the task of fixing a Mercedes GL450 that two mechanics had failed to mend.
