Lamborghini has just revisited one of its most radical supercars.
And the reflection comes nearly 20 years after its initial release.
The supercar in question represented the brand pushing its creativity to the limit.
And it remains one of the most radical and rare offerings the marque has ever made.

Murcielago had an iconic sibling
Okay – so which Lamborghini are we actually talking about?
Well, it might actually be a supercar that you have forgotten about.
And that car is… the Reventon.
First unveiled in 2007, the Lamborghini Reventon was truly incredible.

It was based on the legendary Murcielago, and was first shown off at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show.
So why was the Reventon such an impressive piece of machinery?
First of all, consider its truly stunning design.
Designed by Filippo Perini, the Reventon was extremely aggressive.
It pushed the brand’s styling further, adopted sharper lines, and maintained a much more aggressive presence.
Lamborghini Reventon is as rare as they come
Then there was the fact that it was – and still is – incredibly rare.
Lamborghini built just 36 units – these were split into 21 coupes and 15 roadsters.
Just 20 of the 36 were actually sold to the public.
And then there is, of course, the power.
As you might imagine, the Reventon shared the same engine as its Murcielago sibling.
That meant the iconic naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12.
This produced 641hp and 487lb-ft of torque.

A six-speed automated manual gearbox would transfer power to all four wheels.
All of this added up to a 0-60 time of just 3.4 seconds – back in 2007, mind you.
It also culminated in a top speed of 205mph.
In recent months and weeks, the Reventon has featured heavily on Lamborghini’s socials.
It has also been re-circulating across social media as a whole.
Today, the Reventon is considered a modern classic.
Values commonly approach – and exceed – the $1.5 million mark.
