After an initial leak around a week ago, the new Lamborghini Revuelto Mirua 60 Homage has been revealed as it celebrates 60 years since the Lamborghini Miura supercar.
It is remarkable to think that it has already been 60 years since the Miura, arguably the birth of the modern supercar, first came onto the scene.
This new special edition of the Revuelto is an excellent homage to the original car, and it’s packed with some incredible details.
If you want one of these, then you had better act fast. The company will only produce 99 examples of this special edition.
Lamborghini packed the Revuelto Miura 60 with some cool details
The Italian manufacturer has provided a stunning mixture of colors that are historically associated with the original Miura, which is a neat little homage.
The colors in question are ‘Rosso Arancio’, ‘Arancio’, ‘Giallo’, ‘Verde Scandal’, ‘Verde Metallic’, ‘Blu Tahiti’, ‘Blu Notte’, ‘Nero Noctis’ and ‘Bianco Monocerus’.
Translated, these are various shades of orange, different shades of yellow, as well as some green, blues, and black and white.
Lamborghini is also offering a two-tone exterior colorway, gold wheels, and various Miura 60 logos across the car.
Black calipers, matt black exhaust tips, and a cannelloni pattern on the leather seats are direct features from the Miura.
Has anything changed under the hood?
This is very much billed as a cosmetic upgrade, so there are no changes under the hood of the Revuelto.
None were needed, especially given the fact that the supercar already has a potent enough powertrain as it is.
The Revuelto, of course, has a 6.5-liter hybrid V12 under the hood.
The engine alone produces 813hp and 535lb-ft of torque.
Add in the three electric motors and the Revuelto makes 1,001hp.
With a 0- 62 mph speed of just 2.5 seconds, there really was no need for Lamborghini to give the car any extra power.
The car has been created via Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program, in collaboration with Centro Stile.
We don’t know what the price will be yet.
But we do know Lamborghini is making just 99 of these special editions.
The Miura was the world’s first modern supercar
The Miura, which this special Revuelto pays homage to, is still regarded as one of the greatest cars ever made.
It made its debut at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show, and it quickly set the standard for performance cars.
Most influential was its rear mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, a standard feature for nearly every supercar and sports car.
Power came from a 3.9-liter L406 V12 engine.
In the earlier P400 versions of the car, it made 345hp and 262lb-ft of torque.
By the time the P400SV was produced from 1971 to 1973, power had risen to 380hp and 295lb-ft of torque.
The Miura is now incredibly valuable, which is little wonder given its place in automotive history.
The company did explore the possibility of a new Miura after a 2006 concept was shown off.
However, those ideas never became serious.
