The new Lamborghini Temerario may technically be a baby supercar, but there’s nothing lightweight about it, as it weighs almost as much as a full-size SUV.

Lamborghini has put forward a dry weight of 3,726Ibs.

When you factor in fluids, the weight heads up towards 4,409Ibs.

That’s some serious weight this car is packing – but what else does it have to offer?

Taking a closer look at the Lamborghini Temerario

The Temerario was recently being tested with an Alleggerita pack, a $50,7000 option that reportedly takes 55Ibs off the car’s weight.

When Autocar placed it on a weighbridge, the car was found to weigh 4,199Ibs.

That would make it only 121Ibs lighter than the Revuelto, which is remarkable, seeing as how the Revuelto packs a 6.5-liter V12.

That’s much heavier than the V8 sitting inside the Temerario.

Compared to its predecessor, the Huracán, the Temerario is no slouch either.

One of the lightest iterations of the Huracán, the LP 580-2, weighed 3,306Ibs.

That’s a stark difference.

There are three electric motors and a battery pack inside the Temerario, which goes some way to explaining its considerable weight.

  • 0–62 mph: 2.7 seconds

  • Starting Price: $385,000 (estimated)

Why is this all such a big deal?

You may be sat there thinking, ‘A car is heavy. So what?’

The reason why this is significant is that a lot of media outlets have labeled the Temerario as the ‘baby Lambo’, as it’s the smallest mid-engine Lamborghini in the range.

This tag doesn’t suggest that it’s weak or slow.

But it strikes quite a contrast to hear that the supposed baby of the Lamborghini family is still of considerable size.

At any rate, this one has been anticipated for a long while now.

It hit the road in January, and the early reviews have been singing its praises.
