This 2015 Lamborghini Veneno Roadster just set a $6 million world record through SBX Cars.
Online auction site SBX Cars finalized the Veneno Roadster sale in a post-auction agreement with the highest bidder.
The Veneno Roadster therefore made history by commanding $6 million, making it the most valuable car ever sold via an online-only platform.

The previous record had been set by a 2017 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta, which sold for $5,360,000 in 2022.
This is a huge milestone for Lamborghini and SBX Cars.
The car you see here – one of only nine Veneno Roadster models in existence – previously appeared at a well-known auction house in 2020, but wasn’t sold despite having an estimated sale price lower than $6,000,000.
At that time, the car was offered with an estimated sale price of between $4,500,000 and €5,500,000.

Based on the Aventador, the Veneno was developed to celebrate Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary.
The Veneno, which is Spanish for ‘venom’, is road legal and powered by a 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12, delivering 650 horsepower and giving it a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) time of just 2.9 seconds.
The top speed is 221 mph – or 355 km/h.
The example featured on SBX Cars was the second to leave the factory in Sant’Agata, Italy, and was previously owned by a member of the royal family of Saudi Arabia.
Coming with a matt black finish for the exterior, offset by the lime green and black leather interior, the Veneno Roadster was sold as-new, with only 1,778 km (1,105 miles) on the clock.

Lamborghini has a long and rich history of impressive and striking supercars and yet – even by those very high standards – the Veneno Roadster certainly stands out.
There’s also more to come for Veneno fans, as SBX Cars will soon feature a coupe variant – one of only three in existence – in the not-too-distant future.
