Red Bull is an F1 brand that is known for pushing hypercar boundaries and limits.

It did just that when it unveiled the RB17 – an F1-inspired hypercar – last year.

Since then, leaked images have hit the internet of the new hypercar.

And the RB17 is set to be even better than previously anticipated.

Red Bull enjoys enormous F1 success

Red Bull is one of the most successful teams in Formula 1, AKA F1.

The current Oracle Red Bull Racing Team actually traces its origins to another British brand.

Jaguar Racing was put up for sale by Ford in September 2004.

The soft drinks company stepped in to buy the existing team in November of that year for a nominal fee of $1.

But it also committed to investing $400 million over the next three years.

Under the management of Team Principal Christian Horner, the team has enjoyed incredible success.

German driver Sebastian Vettel won four consecutive Drivers’ Championships from 2010 to 2013.

He also surpassed Ayrton Senna as the youngest-ever triple World Champion.

Dutchman Max Verstappen then repeated the four wins, doing so from 2021 to 2024.

In that time, the team has managed to win six Constructors’ Championships.

Adrian Newey given free reign to design a hyper

The main driving force behind the incredible success of Red Bull was Adrian Newey.

The Englishman is widely considered to be arguably the greatest F1 designer of all time.

Now working for Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team, Newey was behind the designs of the Red Bull F1 cars.

As a token of its appreciation, Red Bull gave Adrian Newey full scope to design his own hypercar.

The Red Bull RB17 hypercar is the result of simply letting Adrian Newey go wild in the design room.

And the upcoming $6.5 million car has had more images leaked following its unveiling last year.

Very minor tweaks have been made since the unveiling, such as now having L-shaped LED headlights.

A large double splitter with curved edges and a central spine is strikingly visible.

Gaping holes in the front of the chassis expose the front, inboard suspension.

Red Bull has collaborated with Cosworth to work on the powerplant for this hypercar beast.

A Cosworth-built, 4.5-liter V10 revs at 15,000RPM and produces a whopping 986HP.

It’s accompanied by a 197HP electric motor that works in collaboration with the insane Cosworth engine.

The end result, which is expected to be shown off later this year, will be fascinating. We can’t wait.
