Supercar Blondie enjoyed F1's Monaco Grand Prix on a private superyacht with Libertex's ultimate VIP experience and there were plenty of surprises

Supercar Blondie traveled to Monte Carlo for the Monaco GP to experience it in the best way possible: from the deck of a superyacht.

Every year, people flock to Monaco for the race, but they also go there for the atmosphere and the energy that only the Principality can generate.

The Monaco GP is and always has been about the glamour and not just the sport.

And that’s why seeing the race from a yacht makes perfect sense.

There’s a reason why the Monaco GP is so important

The Monaco GP is one of the oldest in the calendar, and also one of the most meaningful.

Some F1 fans complain about the lack of action during the GP, but if for whatever reason organizers trimmed down the calendar to only two GPs, you can bet your last dollar that one would be a highly technical race track, and the other one would be Monaco.

Even drivers generally love it.

Cynics say they like it because most of them live in Monaco, but the truth is that this small nation-state perfectly encapsulates the spirit of a GP.

An F1 GP is a race, but it’s also an event.

And, on that front, Monaco is unbeatable.

Every year, Monaco becomes the place to be, and there is so much more about the event than just watching the GP.

This is where Libertex – Audi Revolut F1 Team’s Official Online Trading Partner – steps in.

Aboard the Stella Maris superyacht for the Monaco Grand Prix

Alex Hirschi – aka Supercar Blondie – traveled to Monaco to experience the GP from the 72-meter (236-foot) yacht, Stella Maris.

Hosted by Libertex and organized by Tom Claeren, the ‘Ultimate Superyacht’ experience also gave her exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the newest F1 team, Audi Revolut F1 Team.

Audi F1 driver Gabriel Bortoleto, as well as Racing Director Allan McNish, also attended.

The boat, anchored on the T-Jetty of Port Hercule, near the heart of the action at Zone 1, Quai Piscine, was reachable via tender, and guests were given the opportunity to experience the entire Louis Vuitton Grand Prix de Monaco from the superyacht, from practice sessions to the main event on Sunday.

Built in Italy, Stella Maris is a 12-guest, 7-suite boat with a spa, a sauna, a pool, a deck jacuzzi, a gym, and, on this occasion, three cars on board, as Alex pointed out.

“There are three cars on this superyacht. And we’re right on the track, [with] full access,” she said.

The first car isn’t really a car: it’s a sculpture.

Made by French sculptor Antoine Dufilho, this is a life-size aluminum sculpture of an F1 car, installed on the bow of Stella Maris.

The second car is the real-life F1 car that inspired the sculpture: an Audi Revolut F1 Team F1 single-seater.

And then the third car is a Koenigsegg Jesko.

The only bit of bad news is the Monaco GP is no longer a four-day event.

Until 2022, Monaco was the only GP on the calendar that lasted four days: practice on Thursday, ‘day off’ on Friday, then quali on Saturday, and the race on Sunday.

For reasons related mostly to logistics and costs, F1 eventually changed this and standardized the Monaco GP.

Still, a three-day trip to Monaco aboard this gorgeous superyacht is something you can’t say no to and many thanks to Libertex once again for putting this together and for being such fabulous hosts.
