This Sherp truck is the most badass rescue vehicle in the world

This is the Sherp N 1200, one of the most badass vehicles in existence.

It looks like it could easily withstand anything including a zombie apocalypse.

At the front, you’ve got a massive piece of hardenered glass that serves three purposes: it’s a door, a window and a windshield.

On top of it, you’ll find an off-road-style LED bar that even LeBron James couldn’t reach without a ladder.

For the record, the Sherp is 2.8 meters (9.1 ft) tall.

There’s nothing subtle about the Sherp truck and that’s why we love it.

From the huge and chunky off-road tires to the ‘RESCUE’ lettering on the side, this vehicle certainly makes a statement.

Inside, you’ll find six seats.

There are two at the front, three at the back on a Defender-style bench on one side, and then a stretcher on the other.

Yep, that counts as a seat.

Both the fuel tank and the engine are accessible from the cabin, by the way.

This is because, this being a rescue vehicle, you need to be able to fix the engine and / or fill up the tank on the go.

And on the subject of fuel, the car technically has five tanks.

Each tire can hold up to 58 liters (15 gal) of fuel, and the main tank can hold up to 95 liters – or 25 gallons.

This monster can run for up to 61 hours on a full tank.

And speaking of the tires, they can be deflated and inflated on demand (using exhaust gases) to navigate different terrains.

They really have thought of everything, and wait until you hear about the Sherp’s spec.

So, as standard, you get air conditioning, a rear camera, a very loud siren, a bed, an axe and a pick-axe – just in case.

And because the Sherp is designed to operate at temperatures ranging from +40°C to -40°C, you also get a fuel heating button.

One thing you won’t find, however, is the steering wheel because, nope, it doesn’t have one.

Instead, you’ve got two levers to lock the wheels.

Basically, you pull the right one back to turn right, left one back to turn left, and both back to fully brake.

The Sherp can reach a top speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) on land and 6 km/h (4 mph) in the water.

Sherp truck pricing

The Sherp N series starts at $126,000.

Alternatively, you can buy the Sherp Pro, which is slightly smaller, and that one starts at $115,000.
