Soccer icon Lionel Messi is adapting to life in the US in style, as he has been spotted cruising through Miami in a luxury $250,000-spec vehicle that has left onlookers stunned.
Having spent the majority of his life in Barcelona, Spain, where he became arguably the best soccer player of all time, Lionel Messi has since moved out to the US to enjoy the twilight of his career in the MLS.
With a number of former teammates joining him at Inter Miami, it now seems that the ‘GOAT’ is getting used to life in Florida.
In a new video circulating online, Messi has now been spotted behind the wheel of a Mercedes-Maybach, stopping in traffic to sign shirts for adoring fans.

Lionel Messi spotted driving a custom Mercedes-Maybach in Miami
Despite not being the flashiest celebrity athlete in the world, at least not compared to his rival icon Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi does have a taste for luxury comforts.
Having joined Inter Miami, the soccer star has been splashing the cash on a gigantic new home for his family, and now it looks like he’s been upping his car game too.
Spotted in Miami, Messi posed for fans in the driver’s seat of a custom Mercedes-Maybach S680, decked out with a luxury momochrome color palette.

The S680 is packed with an engine even his midfield maestro partners would have been jealous of, as the 6.0L twin-turbo V12 blasts out 621hp.
The Maybach is a common choice for celebrities, and even Alex Hirschi – AKA Supercar Blondie herself – enjoys the comfort of these beautiful luxury cars over everything else she has driven.
The video was posted to Instagram, where you can get a small taste of the car between clips of him signing shirts.
“Seeing the GOAT in a V12 Maybach just makes sense,” one comment read.
The Merc, however, isn’t his usual taste.
He loves a good motor
Before splashing out on the Florida mansion, Messi spent his early Inter Miami days living in the penthouse suite of the Porsche Design Tower, which was as good a spot as any, as an elevator drove his best supercars directly to his room.
Of those cars in his collection, it might only be the Merc that he keeps in the US, but back in Spain, there’s a plethora of million-dollar sports cars waiting for his return.
And the creme-de-la-creme of those is a $36 million Ferrari 335 S Spider Scaglietti, which he had to outbid Ronaldo for.

Other vehicles include a one-of-three Pagani Zonda Tricolore and a Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale, showing that the luxurious Merc is a pivot in taste.
Still, as the clock ticks down on his playing days, why not let the legend put his feet up in a comfier car?
