Supercar Blondie has slipped behind the wheel of a very special Bentley Continental GT during her stay in the UK.

Alex Hirschi spent some time in London over Christmas and was lucky enough to experience true luxury on the roads.

She described the Bentley Continental GT as ‘perfectly understated to drive around London’.

And sure, it might look understated from the outside, but one look inside this GT, and you’ll understand why pricing starts at $330,000.

What makes the Bentley Continental GT so special?

The Bentley Continental GT was finished in Bedford Grey, differing from the black luxury vehicles commonly seen across London.

Alex, aka our very own Supercar Blondie, described the exterior as immediately appealing, saying Bentley ‘has some of the most beautiful headlights of any luxury car’.

She added that the color felt ‘perfectly understated to drive around London,’ while still standing out.

But what was it like to drive?

In daily traffic, she said the luxury GT remained composed, with much of the driving taking place at low speeds, where smoothness mattered more than outright performance.

She described cornering in the car as ‘the silkiest thing you can experience,’ particularly when moving slowly through tight streets.

Air suspension and all-wheel steering supported that behavior in city conditions.

She wasn’t a fan of everything though.

Driver assistance systems remained active throughout her time with the car, including lane guidance and adaptive features.

She described these systems as common across modern vehicles but said she found them frustrating.

Fortunately, these features can be turned off if you’re not a fan of them.

Inside, Bentley Mulliner specification took luxury to a new level.

The tri-tone interior combined Oxblood and Cricket Ball leather with Linen accents.

Alex described the color as her favorite interior detail, saying she had ‘never been in a cricket ball leather interior’.

She said the material stood out without overwhelming the space.

Efficiency became noticeable over longer stretches.

After four hours of driving, she said the fuel gauge had barely moved.

The luxury GT uses a hybrid-assisted 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 producing a combined 782 PS

That setup allowed extended driving without frequent refueling during her UK stay.

What Bentley Mulliner adds to the luxury grand tourer

Blackline exterior detailing, dark chrome tailpipes, and 22-inch Mulliner wheels give the Bentley Continental GT a fine luxury appearance.

Hybrid capability also played a role in daily use.

Electric driving reduced noise at low speeds, while petrol power remained available when needed.

She said the transition between the two felt natural over several days.

She observed that loud or visually aggressive cars often received mixed responses in London.

Despite this, she said the luxury GT attracted admiring looks instead, even with its audible exhaust note.

She said the Bentley Continental GT ‘exudes luxury’ and noted how well respected the Bentley brand is across the city.

Bentley Mulliner execution, efficiency, and restraint shaped how this luxury grand tourer worked as something to live with, not just something to admire.
