The story of the seemingly abandoned mysterious pink McLaren 570S, parked outside of a London hotel for four years, has finally been revealed.

An incredibly rare McLaren 570s has been parked outside of London’s St Pancras Renaissance Hotel since 2020, which is spitting distance from one of the busiest train stations in the country.

Thousands of people walk past the car on the way to Kings Cross station – yes, Platform 9 3/4s for you Potterheads – and are left bemused as to why it never moves.

Well, after four years, experts have finally lift the lid as to why it hasn’t shifted.

London’s mysterious pink McLaren theory has been solved

For the last four years, Kings Cross regulars have been left scratching their heads with their tea-tipping pinkies as this $190k supercar has been left seemingly abandoned outside of the hotel.

Influencers and TikTok creators have often snapped themselves in front of this pink showpiece, adding free advertising for the hotel – clever, hey.

After countless theories – including rumors that it was a gift to a non-license holder – car experts over at Driveverse have revealed that the car belongs to a permanent residence of the hotel who took up comforts during the pandemic.

“The most credible version is that the Mclaren belongs to someone who moved into the hotel as a permanent resident shortly before the pandemic and due to travel restrictions they had trouble returning to their country,” they said.

“The hotel allowed the supercar to be parked not in the lot but right at the entrance since it attracts attention.”

Who owns the mysterious London pink McLaren?

Although the theory has been settled, the ownership of the mysterious pink McLaren still eludes the public.

There are countless high-end car collectors in the UK, including billionaire Reuben Singh, whose famous rainbow Rolls Royce collection and world-record Bugattis are located in the Midlands.

However, even the hotel staff are unaware of who owns the car, making the ownership status of this hot pink whip a total mystery.

You would have to imagine that the McLaren 570S would have a lofty insurance cover though being left on the streets of London, given it only takes one of the millions of bypassing commuters to take their interest too far.

If it really is a marketing job while the resident takes up a place in the hotel, then it’s quite a gamble to take on the public’s behavior.
